Foundry

Settings

Demo only: this project has no accounts, so the settings nav below is filtered against a pretend role instead of a real one. You are currently viewing this as an administrator.

Adding your own section

This page - "Example: your own section" in the nav above - is a real, working route added the same way a consuming app adds its own project-specific section (Billing, Integrations, whatever the project actually needs), without touching components/_settings_nav.html.twig at all:

  1. Add an entry to your own copy of the sections array - Foundry's own version is App\Showcase\Settings\SettingsSectionProvider::sections(), but a consuming app with real accounts computes visible from is_granted() instead of a demo role.
  2. Give it a route, a controller action, and a template extending the same shell every other settings page uses.
  3. Call components/_settings_nav.html.twig's nav() macro from your new template exactly as every other settings page here does - it doesn't know or care that a new section exists beyond the array it's handed.

Nothing in the reusable macro or the shared nav-collapse rule needed to change to add this page.

About this page

Settings

A worked example of an organisation settings area. Switch the demo role between administrator and standard user to see sections appear and disappear - a person is never shown a control they are not allowed to use.

Without a mouse

Every control on this site works from the keyboard, including this panel (Escape closes it). Anything you can drag also has a menu or form that does the same thing.
