Accessibility statement
This statement covers Foundry's showcase site at foundry.mashreeves.com.
Foundry is the component library the rest of my apps copy from, so its accessibility ends up in all of them. It's built to WCAG 2.2 level AA. You should be able to:
- use every page and control with a keyboard alone
- do anything you can do by dragging with a menu or form instead
- switch to a dark or a high-contrast theme from the top bar
- zoom in without content being cut off
- read every chart's numbers as a table
How accessible this site is
Not yet fully assessed. The code has been reviewed against WCAG 2.2 AA and every colour pair has been measured, but the full manual test (keyboard only, a screen reader, and 400% zoom) hasn't been done yet, so I'm not claiming full compliance.
Known issues
None are currently known. The review on 22 September 2026 found and fixed the following, so they're no longer issues:
- the keyboard focus ring was too faint on the sign-in page's dark panel (1.4.11 Non-text Contrast)
- the kanban board's "Move to" menu moved a card on every arrow key press (3.2.2 On Input)
- chart data tables were only available to screen readers, and series were told apart by colour alone (1.4.1 Use of Colour)
- wide tables couldn't be scrolled from the keyboard (2.1.1 Keyboard)
- a group of radio buttons had no group label (1.3.1 Info and Relationships)
- focused items could end up hidden under the sticky top bar (2.4.11 Focus Not Obscured)
- the navigation on a phone had no navigation landmark, and the current page wasn't announced (1.3.1)
- some sign-in fields used an invalid autocomplete value (1.3.5 Identify Input Purpose)
Reporting a problem
If something on this site doesn't work for you, or you need something in a different format, email hello@mashreeves.com or use the support page. I run this on my own, so I aim to reply within five working days, and I'll tell you what I can do and when.
Enforcement procedure
This site isn't run by a public sector body, so it isn't covered by the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018, and the Equality and Human Rights Commission doesn't enforce complaints about it. What does apply is the Equality Act 2010 duty to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people. If you're unhappy with my reply, the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) can advise you on your rights under the Equality Act.
What I'm doing to improve it
Every colour pair in the light, dark and high-contrast themes is measured by a script, which is re-run whenever a colour changes, and the automated tests check things like scrollable tables being keyboard-reachable and error messages being tied to their fields. The full manual test described above is planned for [CONFIRM: target date], and this statement will be updated with what it finds.
How this site was tested
On 22 September 2026, by me with automated help: a review of every template, stylesheet and script against WCAG 2.2 AA; a contrast measurement of 108 colour pairs across all three themes; and the automated test suite. That covered the whole site, but it wasn't a manual test with assistive technology.
Preparation of this statement
Prepared on 22 September 2026. Last reviewed on 22 September 2026. The site was last tested on 22 September 2026 (code review and automated checks only; see above).
