Set up two-step verification

Add a passkey or an authenticator app so a stolen password isn't enough to get in.

Last checked 9 October 2026

Open Account settings, then Security. Under Two-step verification, choose Add a passkey if your device offers one; otherwise use an authenticator app.

Save your backup codes somewhere safe, away from your phone. Each one works once.

Administrators have to use two-step verification. If you sign in with a Microsoft work account that already asked for a second step, you won't be asked twice.

About this page

This is Foundry, the shared base theme - a component catalogue other apps copy their SCSS partials and Twig components out of. Nothing on this site is real data.

Without a mouse

Every control on this site works from the keyboard, including this panel (Escape closes it). Anything you can drag also has a menu or form that does the same thing.
