Push notifications

A real Web Push round trip. This is the third notification channel alongside the in-app bell (top bar) and email: a real OS-level notification that can reach this device even with the tab closed. Subscribing here stores a genuine row (no account, so nothing here is tied to "you" beyond this one browser - see docs/PPD.md) and the test send below makes a real network call to your browser's own push service.

Checking this device's notification permission…

Send a real test push

Sends a real push to this device only. If the push service reports the subscription as gone (uninstalled, revoked, expired), it's deleted rather than retried. Subscriptions are deleted after 30 days either way.

Push is additive, never the only path to a notification - the same event would also land in the in-app bell above. Nothing here replaces that; see the notifications skill.

About this page

Push notifications

Turn notifications on, then send a test to this device. Your browser asks permission first; nothing is sent to any other device, and the subscription is deleted after 30 days or as soon as you turn it off.

Without a mouse

Every control on this site works from the keyboard, including this panel (Escape closes it). Anything you can drag also has a menu or form that does the same thing.
